Will they have a better record from here onward than the wildcard teams they are chasing....YES. Will it be good enough to overcome a 6-7 game wildcard deficit?....I'm NOT SURE... Yanks can still control their own destiny if they have a great prolonged hot streak. And with the additions to the lineup of Grandy, Soriano and Arod...and currently having one of the very best starting pitchers (Kuroda) in MLB along with Nova (who has been terrific)--- Also, the bullpen is "good". If.....if...... Pettitte and CC can be consistently solid over the remaining games, I think the Yanks will make the playoffs. blg has spoken. lol
