Sorry Rob but they're only allowed to do that once every 29 years & they're doing that tonight in game 6.
Although I'm a Giant fan (how fucking dare I root for anyone else as a Yankee fan) I said it yesterday afternoon that if KC won game 6 the'll win the series. And after this blow out they have to be feeling pretty good.
_____________________________ I don't think it's a given for KC to win game 7 just because they won game 6. All it does it turn this WS into a one game winner take all and create possibly too much pressure to handle for one of the teams and/or player/players. Of course KC feels as if they are reborn after trailing 3g-2, but SF also knows THIS THING ISN'T OVER YET. A blooper here or there, a wide or tight strike zone here and there..welcome to game 7! The one player who can determine the outcome more than any other is the SP- If one of these starting pitchers implodes and leaves a few balls over the plate and puts their team in a big hole....good night Irene.
...^^^yeah, I quit watching after the score went to 7-0, but it's not like KC was hitting rockets off of SF pitching...ther were quite a few bleeders and seeing eye hits...anything can happen in game 7.
Of course I'm pulling for my Giants but had the Giants not made the WS I'd have rooted for the Royals. GO GIANTS!
____________________________ Yeah but....Peavy wasn't fooling anyone and is VERY HITTABLE..as are most of the SP for these teams. Ventura is one of the 3 SP (Bumgarner,Shields) of this WS who has shut-down stuff. As some of us have already suggested - these teams aren't powerhouses with 98-100 reg season wins. lol Tim Hudson is going tonight for SF -- at this point in his career, he looks like a clone of David Phelps..lol 89-90 mph fastball, decent curve/sinker...whatever ...point is...his stuff is similiar to Phelps. Guthrie is going for KC...he does have a decent fastball..and NOT MUCH else...
