Who else deserves a shot? Rampage turned it down. Rashad got his ass owned. Every one else is tied up.

If I was Lyoto, I would ask him to shut up. It makes Silva seem like he doesn't have the confidence in his Machida, imo.

Shogun deserves the chance to get KTFO by Machida as much as any 205er. Sure he hasn't had that many fights but no one else that is worthy is available.

Anderson got a title shot after one fight (Leben), so he needs to STFU.

Shogun is pretty much the only one outside of Rampage deserving of a title fight. Rampage set aside, Shogun is the only one at that weight class with two straight wins over quality opponents. While Coleman and Liddell are not top of the world anymore, they are still sturdy competition for just about anyone at that weight class. That along with the fact that the Machida to Shogun comparison is completely different, Machida never came into the UFC with the stigma that Shogun came in with, makes this a silly thing to say. Of course Shogun wouldn't have to prove himself in as many fights as Machida had to.
