His line tonight was almost the exact same as in game 1, he shot 3 for 11 in both games in about the same amount of minutes. He's now taken 5 three pointers and made 1. I do not like him averaging 2 or 3 three pointers a game. I think he is frustrated he is not starting or getting more than 30 minutes a game and that is why he tried to make up for it when hes in the game and shoot alot.
Miller seems OK, and probably better than Blake at this point for the team, but the guy has the ugliest set shot from 3PT that I've ever seen in my life. I'd rather see him shoot up a granny shot. It's painful.
Andre Miller is a mess. I remember how everyone thought he would turn around the Clippers. It didn't happen. Our PG situation is awful. We threw money at it and it didn't help. Is Mills the savior?
Shawn Marion thinks Andre Miller's shot is ugly! In Miller's defense, one was at the end of the quarter and another was against the shot clock. Can't defend the 3rd one, it was just ugly.
Yeah, I'm a little disappointed with Miller's performance thus far. It's better than Blakes, but I don't even want to talk about Blake right now. It might be time to unveil Bayless for 8 minutes in a 3rd quarter some time and see what he can do with both the 2nd and 1st units.
I thought Miller was someone who could get to the line and take some of the pressure off of Brandon Roy? Instead he's been taking jumper after jumper, it's kind of worrying me.
All I can say is why are we surprised that Miller is shooting the 3 point shot in a Nate McMillan offense? As much as I generally loathed Sergio's game, it did baffle me that Nate had Sergio play off the ball and catch and shoot from the perimeter when he was clearly so bad at it. Maybe this is all just first week jitters and hiccups as guys get comfortable with each other, and maybe Nate will develop sets that cater more toward's Miller's skills (and everyone else for that matter) but somehow I get the feeling that Miller will be on the move in February ... for whom I have no idea, but my guess is KP is either going to have to fire Nate or bring in a point guard who does nothing but defend and hit the three pointer from the wing or the corner -- maybe Mario Chalmers?
I agree with most of your post until the Chalmers bit. You HAD to go and pick one of the three starting PGs worse than Blake.
Huh? Chalmers' plays great defense (or at least he did last year) as a rookie ... And mainly I was being facetious; I was trying to think of the one player in the league who most mimics the kind of player Nate was -- which appears to be the kind of player he thinks a point guard should be.
Definitely, it's the offense that's being run that caters to PGs who can hit an open jumper from 18 feet to the 3-point line, which is not Andre's game at all. Miller is going to set a personal record of 3-point attempts in the first 30-40 games or so, which will be more than his career combined. Too bad we couldn't get a guy like Billups, who would probably fit Nate's system better. But Nate needs to figure out how to use Andre best or else we're going to see a bunch of 3-11's, 4-13 games.
What do you guys expect? We're a late in the shot-clock half-court offense shooting team. If we're not throwing it down to our bigs (which we dont, b/c LA is outside and Oden is ignored), all we do is jump-shoot.............
