Oklahoma City guard Andre Roberson was taken off the court on a stretcher Saturday after his left leg appeared to give out on the receiving end of an alley-oop attempt against the Detroit Pistons.

Sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski that the preliminary report said Roberson suffered a ruptured patellar tendon and is expected to have season-ending surgery. Thunder coach Billy Donovan confirmed that the injury was to the patellar tendon but said they wouldn't know the severity until more testing was done upon returning to Oklahoma City.

Roberson, 26, missed eight games earlier this season with patellar tendinitis in his left knee.
