His name is Andres Nocioni, he's a 6-7 small forward from Argentina who seems to be a very good athlete and defender.

    This is from a newspaper:

The Philadelpia 76ers have already been in negotiations with Nocioni's club Tau Ceramica. The 6'7 forward wouldn't mind staying in Spain. But if his team is willing to sell him, he's made clear how much money he wants to make in the NBA".

    Here's a article from NBAdraft.net:

Maybe the most athletic player in Europe, his explosiveness is "Carter-esque". Best remembered for his legendary dunk on Kevin Garnett as a 17 year old. He is not a Fotsis or Bodiroga, an all-around-talent who can do everything on the court. He is an energetic player, who can give athletic presence, great hustle and defense. He is great in open court situations where he always wants to dunk. And, most importantly, he is becoming a threat from outside. He improved his shooting technique a lot. He is very confident with his shot and right now and has been hitting the J on a regular bases. He has also displayed effectiveness with his pull-up jumper and shooting off screens. He is not a pure shooter like Stojakovic but if he continues to improve he can be a legitimate NBA player.

    from eurobasket.com:

    Outlook:
Great leaper, who loves to dunk. Very good shooter from various range, even for 3 points. Reliable defender. Good in 1-on-1.

    and another one:

Right now, he and Andrйs Nocioni are the best small forwards in Europe for the NBA in the over 22 range (not including Dejan Bodiroga, of course).

Although Nocioni is a little better now because of his experience and defense (he has just been named for the First All- Euroleague Team). NBA scouts have scouted him for a while now. Hermann's buyout is 400,000 Euros, around $470,000 , compared to the 3,000,000 of Nocioni's buyout (around $3,500,000).

if we we are in contract talks with him...a trade has to be coming...or maybe we just won't resign clancy and cut someone....

i read that the spurs are also going after him....and they have 2 argintinian's on the team...ginobli and scola...so it is likely they could sign him

sixers fans, you would like to see this guy play in philly right?
