What do you think of Bynum?I keep on changing my opinion on his potential as he plays more games and shows me what he can do. As of right now, I think that Bynum can be an all-star player and great defender. There are three things a young player needs in order to one day become a great player: athletism, perseverance, and a nose for the ball. Bynum has the first two. He has a big wingspan and is explosive. He is also one of the hardest workers on the Lakers. However, he lacks the third one. His rebounding still needs some work and he has to learn the game of basketball better. For the upcoming season, I'm not really expecting much from Bynum. I think that he can be a Joel Przybilla-type of player for us this season. By that, I mean a defensive force down low with the ability to force the opponents to change their shots. His sheer size and strength intimidates guys into shooting a shot they're less comfortable with. On offense, Bynum's a smart passer with some nice post moves, but he still needs to work on consistency, using his left hand, and making his free throws. In the future, I think that Bynum can top out with a season of 20 ppg, 10 rpg, and 2.5 bpg if he continues working hard. Thoughts?
