Even though this probably sounds biased, I don't think Memphis is quite on North Carolina's level yet. Wright was a major contributer, but he wasn't as intrical to their offense as Hansbrough and Lawson are. They'll improve over the summer, and so will guys like Wayne Ellington, Danny Green, and Deon Thompson, who really sort of underachieved all year long and could bring their game to the next level as sophomores/juniors. Memphis is definitely one of the two or three best at this point though. One of their main additions which everyone seems to be forgetting is Shawn Taggart, the Iowa State transfer. He was a consensus four star rated prospect (as high as #35 on rivals); the guy played Pippen to Brandon Rush's Jordan in high school. He'll step right in and have a huge impact in the post. Kansas is also ranked way too high. Chalmers and Arthur aren't enough to put this team this high in the rankings. Without Rush or Wright, I have a hard time imagining what that team will look like on offense, but it probably won't be nearly as productive as this year's squad was.
I think he's also putting too much value on Aaron Afflalo. We're going to miss his perimeter D, but I feel like Josh Shipp will be able to fill that scoring void and, with Kevin Love coming in, we won't be as dependant on guardplay as we were this season.
I know there is no way in hell that the Gators deserve to be in the pre season Top 25, but don't be surprised to see them there again for the majority of this season.
