The Los Angeles Angels announced Saturday they have hired former major league reliever Jerry Dipoto as their 11th general manager. The Angels moved quickly to hire Dipoto, who also was in the running to be the Baltimore Orioles' GM. The team had decided to hire Dipoto by Friday morning, but followed MLB protocol and waited until after the conclusion of the World Series to make the announcement.
