The Los Angeles Angels continued to fortify their bullpen by signing left-hander Scott Downs to a three-year contract Friday worth $15 million. Downs, 34, went 5-5 with a 2.64 ERA in 67 games for the Toronto Blue Jays last year. A nine-year veteran, Downs is 27-28 with a 3.79 ERA in his career. The Angels' priority now moves to improving the offense. They finished second in the major leagues in runs scored in 2009, but slipped to No. 19 last season. Read more: http://sports.espn.go.com/los-angeles/mlb/news/story?id=5907430
