He just threw a no-hitter against the Diamondbacks. I don't know what is more amazing, the fact that he is only 22 years old or that he had Tommy John surgery and missed an entire season. This is really going to help the Marlins momentum.
I saw this on ESPN news and I am impressed by this kid. He has a surgery and comes back and pitches a no hitter for the Florida Marlins. This is going to help his confidence and he could really be big for them late in the season. I'm telling you, watch our for the Marlins for the wild card but I still think that Ryan Howard will carry the Phillies to the NL wild card in the National League.
I'm embarrassed...But still I am very impressed with the Marlins. Before the season everybody and their mothers, brothers, sisters and fathers picked them to finish last or close to that in the NL after the threw out the whole team except for two guys. But somehow they just keep pulling out stud pitchers out of nowhere and continue to win. I will be rooting for them to make the playoffs. :beerchug: Amazing franchise. They are a young small-market team with no fans and they have 2 championships already and may make it 3 in the near future with all these great young players.
All I have to say is, amazing performance by Sanchez. First no-hitter since R Johnson threw the perfect game in '04
Just one of the many young talented starting pitchers the Marlins have, but we all know what always ends up happening to them. :no1: Anyways, I'm pretty happy, he's on my fantasy baseball team.
That is nuts. I saw the highlights of him pitching that game and he kept everything off of the plate. He did a great job. Its crazy to think that he just got called up from AA and that he just recently had surgery.
He should do decent, he's a good pitcher and he should be able to beat anyone even if they are a team like the mets.
