The St. Louis Cardinals are being investigated by the FBI for allegedly hacking into networks and trying to steal information about the Houston Astros, The New York Times reported Tuesday.
Pretty serious stuff. I always respected the Cardinals as a class organization. When one issue seems solved, another sleaze jumps up to steal headlines and put game play in secondary news. Rea crock of crap this, hacking another teams computer systems.
Yeah, it's going to be interesting to see how deep and far this goes and who it involves...could be some serious shit.
Serious shit no doubt, but why the Astro's......? I know the Astro's GM, left St. Louis a few years back, which allowed a bridge of info b/t the 2 teams, is this the one and only reason why the Astro's were targeted....? the Stro's are the 1 team, that has been reloading with 4 years of #1 or #2 picks in the 1st round, 2nd, and so on....their Prospects have won 2 CA Lg Pennants in 2 of the last 3 years, due to those picks....... Yet, how many 1st round picks do we see actually make it to the Big Show......
What, the goody two shoes Cardinals hacking into another team's top secret evaluations, reports and info regarding player personnel? Fire Cashman!
I'm so sick and tired of Sports scum illegally trying to be up on their opponents. These acts make Congress look inept at being crooks..... but not by much!
The FBI and Justice Department are involved. I don't think baseball's rules are really important at this point.
