That's how you don't make the playoffs. Like I tried to tell Al. Islanders play the Rangers like it's the playoffs. Rangers play it like it's a regular season game. What a disgrace tonight.

The defensemen were complete idiots covering people.

Desperation is not the face of these Rangers. Losing at home twice
to Devils and now Islanders. Now, that is a disgrace.

You cannot blow a 3-1 lead at home to the Islanders. It's as simple as that.

What a disgusting loss. Who cares if they make the playoffs. They wont do anything major there anyway. The changes need to be made to this roster. I am not falling for this tease crap.

What a waste of 2 points. This defense cannot continue to play at this level, and expect good things to happen. When you get down to end of the season, and you are 2 to 4 points out of the playoffs, or a top seed, they can look back at games like this.

Nights like tn are why you do not pay Girardi a lot of money in an extension. Guy was lost multiple times tn. So was Staal.

Cant afford not to get any points out of a game like that.

AV needs to look hard at his entire defense, and decide who will stay and who will go. It won't be just DZ, they need a real upgrade back there

Who do the rangers get"up" for and play over their heads? So if you lose to a team it can't be a rival?

I was at the game, and sat 12 rows behind the Rangers goal periods 1 & 3, and we did NOT play well (not that you needed to be there to see that).

All night you could see we were off. Most of the action was in the Ranger zone. The passes were off. The hitting was off. Leaving guys wide open often. They were just not crisp all night.

Getting 2-0 and 3-1 leads was smoke and mirrors IMO. We weren't playing that well, just making the most of our chances. It was a very poorly played game by us. Give the Isles credit for some of it, they clearly wanted it more and were the hungrier team no doubt about it, and it wasn't even close.

With that said, just like TB, it is one game. We can't win every game. Rebound against the Blues, and actually beat the Devs for once this season on Sunday, and we'll be okay.

I was at the game too. give isles credit. when you work as hard as they do, and you have what is now arguably the best line in hockey, you will lose to them if you are not going on all cylinders

Losing to a rival is not the problem, but they need to at least show up.

Dump insists that the islanders are no longer the rangers rivals.

The Islanders always show up, and play like they are. The problem is, the Rangers rarely do the same.
