Can't get the link up, but on hoopshype.com they said that it would be a good idea if Mo Taylor went to the Lakers to spread out the triangle.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Mo is going to have plenty of teams to choose from, but I believe his best bet - if they're interested - would be the Los Angeles Lakers. He would be a solid No. 2 or 3 scorer on that roster, with the ability to really cause opponents problems in the Lakers' Triangle offense because of his mid-range shooting ability. It would take some of the pressure off Lamar Odom, who was clearly not ready to be Kobe's sidekick last season. Plus, Mo would be on a team that's going to be in the hunt for one of the last playoff spots out West which means he could have a Bonzi Wells-like breakout in the playoffs and ... oh yeah, I guess that didn't work out too well for B-Wells, did it? At any rate, a strong season with a solid playoff performance might be just enough to get someone to offer Mo their mid-level exception next summer.</div> Source I'm 50/50 on the Lakers adding Mo Taylor. He's never made an effort to play defense and he's a lousy rebounder for his size. The Lakers already have Cook and Radman to spread the floor, so adding Mo is just a redundant piece on this roster. I'd rather see the extra minutes at PF go to Ronny Turiaf.
I'm not a fan of this thought. I've never really liked him at all. Outside of shooting a decent mid range game, he's of no use. He can't rebound or play defense whatsoever. Beyond that, we don't really have any use for him. Turiaf is a solid backup and Vlad could also slide into the 4 if need be.
I'm thinking the Laker's players at PF are either better and more motivated. Odom, Vlad, Turiaf, and Cook (I don't think Mo has 3-range) deserve more minutes than Taylor, and I'm sure Taylor would want some minutes.
Can't see the Lakers signing him and plus he will want minutes as skip already said. What over teams will consider signing him?
No way. I really hopes Mo Taylor doesn't come to the Lakers. We don't need another power forward, and the guy doesn't bring much to the court. Radman, Cook, and Turiaf are good for me. Like Shape said, I don't want Mo to eat up Turiaf's minutes
