"HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - An Oahu-based mixed martial arts fighter is scheduled to appear before a judge next month after he crashed his truck on the H1 Freeway while allegedly driving under the influence.

Officers arrested Christian Leben, 30, a middleweight fighter known as the Crippler, on suspicion of operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant Tuesday. He was released from custody after posting $1,000 bail.

Police say Leben was driving on the west-bound side of the H1 Freeway just before 2 AM, when he lost control of his pickup and crashed into a wall near the Kapiolani Boulevard off ramp. He was allegedly driving without a license and without insurance."

I find it hard to feel sorry for him because he's had so many chances but it really seemed like he had his shit together lately.

    No sympathy for him.

Exciting fighter, but you only get so many chances.

I'm on episode 2 of season 1 of The Ultimate Fighter. I don't like him.

You'll learn to like a lot of fighters that you think you don't like, though.

I used to hate Leben, still do as a person, but he loves to fight.

Yeah I can tell that. I like his attitude as a fighter and competitor. Just not in the house and stuff. I read that the first season has a lot more "drama" and stuff happening in the house than the other seasons. Is that true?

Yes, like Survivor and other reality series, the first season was very experimental and the guys had unscripted and natural reactions to everything. After the first season everyone has seen the show and knows what to expect, including the contestants, so everything gets more prepared and deliberate.

The UFC didn't even know if the show would get picked up. It was really a shot in the dark.
