As expected, the league's future didn't allow his game to stagnate. He has spent his summer vacation adding perimeter skills. Since he'll be back as a power forward, that improved jumper is necessary.

Stat's face soured when he learned that his hole card had been revealed. In his offseason, he has been working on a corner 3-pointer.

"That's supposed to be a secret, man." Stoudemire joked. "I've just been working on my all-around game."

He did attempt 3s later in the season and I was at a game against Sacremento where he made one. Looks like Amare will be an even more well rounded player this year! Can you say MVP?!

Yeah he made a couple very nice looking 3's in the play-offs. A nice set and stroke shot really. And that's before a summer of working on it. Should be interesting to see. I don't expect him to become an outside threat necessarily, but just to have the option be feasible enough to make defending him harder.. that'll only help.

Oh my... If Amare could hit the open three he'd be even harder to guard this sounds scary for other teams.

It's interesting how Amare, Lebron, Wade and Melo made a deal while in the Olympics to see who would become MVP first, and all of them are improving dramatically (sadly, with the exception of Melo, but under Karl we'll see). With their athleticism, I think it'd be scary for Wade, James and Amare to develop an outside game..

I wish big guys like him would just stay down low. I love how ferocious he is around the rim. The farther he is from the rim the less likely it is to see an exciting dunk by Amare...
