Apparently torn meniscus in his right knee which is the same injury he sustained last year. If this is the case, he would miss most (if not all) of the rest of the season.
This is not good for the Cardinals. Now teams are going to be able to double up on Fitzgerald. Boldin makes Fitzgerald better because when they're in the game the defense has to pay attention to both of those guys. Now with Boldin out, Fitzgerald is the only receiver on a team that has been plagued with injuries.
Thats not necessairily true. They did have Bryant Johnson who was a first round pick a couple years ago (They Took Boldin in the Second Round of that draft). 49 receptions for 537 yards last season filling in for Boldin with 11 starts. He can hopefully fill in putting Johnson in a #2 WR role with Fitzgerald playing as a #1 WR. They will still probably struggle since they have no run game, but thats no different then they were with Boldin. In my opinion, all it does is improve Fitzgerald from a #1B Reciever to a true #1 which I think he can handle.
