He is reported to be traded to Denver, but will not report there. If he was willing to take a smaller contract, and shorten his expected minutes, would you want him to take our last roster spot? I personally would love to have Antonio. Findhing him minutes will be difficult, but the man is solid.
Yeah I'd take McDyess over Mbenga and Powell and Mihm. He could allow for more rest to go for whoever is at the PF spot that given night.
a lot of teams could use him.....Lakers could use them, because they're still a tad bit soft up front, The Heat could use him for the same reasons, and The Cavs could use him because they need offense from the 4 spot........
The NBA changed the rules to prevent this type of player movement. I think McDyess would have to miss 60 days before he could return to Detroit.
We only have 14 players on our roster, so if we sign McDyess, we won't have to release anyone... Anyways, if he wants to, I'd gladly sign him for cheap. But he has to understand that with our depth, he's not going to see many minutes on the court. We'll see what happens, but I wouldn't mind him at all.
I wouldn't because we already have a couple of good PG's. Fisher and Farmar is a good duo. Lamar can be a good threat so thats why I wouldn't have let him go. But thats just my opinon.
I'm pretty sure it's only 30 days. I remember reading last year when the Kidd rumors were swirling that a big reason why the initial one including Stack didn't go through was because the Mavs would have had to wait 30 days to resign him after he was waived (or something to that extent, don't remember it completely). However...I could be wrong.
Probably not. I think Odom is a great fit off the bench and Billups would have given us a logjam at the PG position, albeit a somewhat good one.
