http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/ARI/8923813<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>(Oct. 3, 2005) -- Antrel Rolle, the Arizona Cardinals' first-round draft pick this year, will miss the rest of the season because of a left knee injury. No roster move was immediately made, but coach Dennis Green didn't expect the former University of Miami cornerback, the No. 8 pick in April, to heal and complete rehabilitation in time to return this season.Rolle played in three games, making 18 tackles (17 solo) before tearing meniscus cartilage during a 37-12 loss at Seattle on Sept. 25.Rolle saw prominent Miami orthopedist John Uribe over the weekend, and Uribe did the operation today."You hate to see any player get an injury that takes him out of the season, particularly since it's so early in the season and you hate to see your front-line guy taken out of the year," Green said. "But we'll march on with it. The guys that filled in did a pretty good job yesterday. They played hard and they kept pace with the rest of the guys on the defense."David Macklin, Arizona's other starting cornerback, aggravated his left hamstring injury Oct. 2 and had to leave the 31-14 victory against the 49ers in Mexico City. Raymond Walls, who started at left corner in Rolle's absence, strained his left groin and also was sidelined.</div>

If you didn't notice, alot of DBs and WRs dont even wear kneepads so they can go faster, this is a big reason why
That is really stupid. I think they think it'll slow them down or something, but now you're out for the whole season and can't help your team one bit.
I'm back to posting on this board some more...fall break in school! This was not a big loss. Rolle was below average this year, and Eric Green was doing better. I think Green is better to have for this year, but this hopefully will not hurt Rolle long-term. We have like 4 CB's injured though so that will hurt. Thank god we have a bye even though their season is pretty much done. I hope we get a good draft pick.

They aren't going to the playoffs so I hope they get a nice pick in the draft for an O-Lineman. I heard there are some great ones coming out this year.
Rolles a rookie, you have to give him some time. He played in like 2 pre season games and i don't even think he played in a regular season game. Plus, he's from the U so u know he'll do good.

And Green is a rookie too. I know he should do well. That is why I said I hope this doesen't hurt him in the future. It's no big deal right now though.
Oh, I heard he was out before the season even started, but I just looked it up on google and you're right.
