Any country music fans in here? I myself enjoy the genre. Got hooked on it by hearing a Rascal Flatts cd and now i've opened my eyes to all country.

Neon Moon by Brooks and Dunn is the best song ever made.

My sister had a Shania Twain album back in '98...I don't know if she's country or pop or a cross breed of country-pop but some of her songs were good.

Please don't tell me there's things such as underground country and mainstream country classifications as well.

I like some, more like folk-country, but not just plain country.

Sorry i'm so late replying to this thread. I am a big fan of all of those guys except Trace Adkins (who I haven't heard alot of).

Keith Urban is real good, I don't think i've heard a song from him I didn't like. Kenny Chesney same. Toby Keith is more of the 'rockin' country which I dig as well, and I "bought" the newest Brad Paisley cd which owns.

Other artists I like are Dierks Bentley, Josh Gracin, Lonestar, and of course Brooks and Dunn, and Garth Brooks. So much good country out there, for the people that don't like country for whatever reason... if it's because you have actually listened to the country that people are into and don't like it then ok. But if you are just judging it because it's country like I used to then I encourage you to actually listen to some songs by Rascal Flatts or Keith Urban or Chesney or what have you. The lyrics are the most meaningful in music... and the sound is very catchy.

Music such as Keith Urban isn't the honky tonky country for the most part people, it's sort of like an R&B.

Where in Houston do you live? Please dont make generalizations that aren't true. Country music might not be the biggest genre inside the city limits but once you go out to the suburbs, I guarentee it is more popular.

I for once was never a big country music fan but now that I am in college I am starting to listen to it more than more. Tim McGraw is currently blaring on my IPOD - I haven't gotten into to much other artists but I plan too. (Gotta love the filesharing system at TAMU)

Song stuck in my head at the moment - Something Like That by Tim McGraw.
