When you have 4 of your starting defenseman out and your first center, you take any point vs. one of the better teams in the league. Talbot should not have played. You don't play Cam against St. Louis.

Getting a point was almost like a win. The usual dumb defensive breakdown hurt them in the end.

You take the point for sure but the Rangers should've won this game.

I am not upset getting 1 either given the situation. 3 more and Moore is back. At most 1 more and Stepan is back. I have to figure 4 or tops 5 more and Boyle is back. And hopefully MZA plays Wednesday as well.

I am a little frustrated because we were sloppy on some of the goals against, and mainly because we refuse to shoot high. I just never understood it for years. All night long Elliott with those pad saves just sticking out his long legs. That frustrates me. But not upset getting a point tonight given the circumstances.

Pluses were Kreider and MSL both showed up, so maybe that is a sign of things to come. On the flip side I think McIlrath has some work to do on his skating to really be ready for NHL level play.

When you are this banged up, you hope to stay around .500 until you get people back. I know you have to keep Hank rested by I would rather rest him later in the season. The Rangers have barely played lately. He doesn't need the rest.

Hayes is really starting to look solid, I'd keep him on that line even when Stepan returns.

I'm still going with the Kreider-Stepan-Nash line. Kreider plays his most consistent hockey with Stepan.

    MZA/Brass/Nash
    Kreider/Stepan/MSL
    Hags/Hayes/Duke
    Glass/Moore/Stemp

That's what I like (although I rather see Malone on the 4th line over Glass). I agree Stepan and Kreider are a good fit.
