Altough I really would like Minnesota to get Mayo...iwanted to discuss some possible trade scenerios. Now I understand that these are not rumors only random thougts for trades...please keep that in mind. 1) Miami - Right's to #2 pick Beasley for...right's to #3 pick (Mayo) the return of Miami's 2009 1st Rd pick and a 2nd rd. pick ***Both team get the players they covet the most and Miami gets thier picks back. 2) Memphis - #5, #28 & Lowry for...#3 and Smith or Richards 3) New York - #6, Nate Robinson & Lee and a future 1st Rounder for....#3 and smith or Richards Any other crazy hair-brained ideas? I'm just really bored!!!

Well, Miami has made it pretty clear that they want a playmaking PG, but I don't know if they want to reach at #2 to get Mayo. I'm not saying that'd be the final trade, obviously I think Miami would get a little more from Minny, but I'm just saying that it's very possible to happen.
Miami drafts Beasley, Minny drafts Mayo, Knicks draft Lopez...3 way trade... Miami Receives: A 2nd round pick (from Minny), Corey Brewer, Ryan Gomes, Eddy Curry or Zach Randolph, Fred Jones, Randolph Morris Minnesota Receives: Michael Beasley, Dorrell Wright, Earl Barron, Mardy Collins New York Receives: OJ Mayo, Mark Madsen, Antonie Walker, and Miami 2nd round pick will we all be happy now? Lol ...And I wouldn't want Walker, but the salaries will have to match some how Edit: Oh, yeah, Miami will get Lopez somewhere in that deal...
Only problem I see with that scenerio is that if Miami is trading their pick, their gonna want Mayo for themselves since they covet him as well. And Minny has Miami's 2nd rounder. I think if Miami is trading their pick it's going to Minnesota for Mayo and x-tra. But I do like the idea of getting D.Wright...but I don't wanna give up Brewer and most of all Gomes. Question to all...If Minnesota was willing to part with Brewer and their two 2nd Rounders, how high a pick can that get them in the draft?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (#1_Yinka_Dare_Fan @ Jun 13 2008, 11:19 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>You're giving up too much for the Beasley-Mayo swap.</div> I think so as well...I want to say Mayo and Miami's 2nd Rounder back....but I can see Riley pushing for his next years 1st Rounder back...amd McHale buckling. But if Miami is "stuck" with drafting Beasley, and Minnesota drafts Mayo...I can see them seriously swapping draft rights. But our track record is not too good...drafted Ray Allen and traded for Starbury, which at the time worked good until Starbury wanted to be the leader...I don't think that woulda happened with Allen. Drafted Roy and traded him for Foye....in Foye's defense he's been hurt, but damn....trading away the ROY....ouch
and if you trade Mayo, you may be doing it again. If this guy can hit a mid range jumper, he'll be good from the go. He can get in the paint with today's defensive rules no problem and will make the game easier for teamates. I think Mayo is going to be a good Pro. His game is better suited for the NBA.

But Beasley is a BEAST. He's gonna be a talent as well. A talent who can score and more importantly for Minnesota, can help Big Al on the boards. Either one brings starpower to Minnesota...which we need for those ever-so-important ticket sales
yeeeeeeeeah but the questions about attitude, desire and defence make me wonder a little about him. I mean Shareef Abdur Raheem was a beast coming outta Cal and well he was a stat stuffer. But hey, he could be the next Stoudamire or Howard too. I think a PG who can score and create for his teamates is more important in today's NBA.

Just like any other team I would be happy with Beasley or Mayo. It's kinda strange that earlier it was all about a two man race with Rose and Beasley....now it's talk about Beasley and Mayo and who's a better pick up...funny
