I think Shawn Marion would fit very well with us and our system and i heard the suns want to trade him. We need a player like him on our squad and id rather have him then AK47. IF they are trying to get rid of him it could benefit both teams the way i see it we could trade richardson pietrus harrington and our pick for shawn marion and something/someone else. Hefits well in the run n' gun system with suns im sure he could do it with us as well not to mention he is one of the most versatile players in the game today. Im jus not sure if this is even a possible trade but just a thought.
The reason they wish to trade Marion is because of their financial problem and luxury tax. Therefore, they wish to receive large expiring contracts in return. We have no expiring contract and two two-years contract (Davis and Foyle). So, that alone pretty much ends any possibility. Also, we are in financial problem as well. Therefore, taking a max contract at this point is very hard...
Yes I would really love to have Shawn on our team to get another rebounder, shooter, passer, and defender, but his contract is 65.1 with two years left on. The only player really near that much is Baron Davis who is as well 65.1 for two years. All other players are 43.2 millon and this. So I don't think the Warriors want to trade Baron Davis for Sawn Marion unles they want Monta to take over point guard next season. So I don't really think they will get Marion anytime soon or if ever.
How about: Jason Richardson, Mikael Pietrus, Patrick O'Bryant, and our draft pick for Shawn Marion and a filler?
Again, Sun's primary reason to trade Marion is to remove his 2 years max contract, so that they can stay below luxury tax threshold. So, unless we have large expiring contract, the deal won't work...

Next Year's off-season Foyle's gonna be a great asset.... There's a way to get Marion, but it would take getting a 3rd team involved, that's looking to dump salary major in 2 years.

Why would we trade our number 9 pick from a year ago who didn't really get a chance to help us becasue he was developing himself in the D-League. 2.Mickeal is gone unles we sign him to another deal. 3. This is a very deep draft which means we can get a lot of good players in this draft. 4. Shawn Marion has a huge contract which means we have two guys in the 65 million area. Baron Davis and Shawn Marion
