    ....think that Will Smith might be one of the top 5 DE in the next two years??? He doesn't even start for the Saints and he still leads the team in sacks, and it's not like we have shitty DE's either.

    I think its hard to call him a top-5 DE if hes not starting on his own team....that would mean the Saints have 3 of the top-5 DEs in the league....leading a team in sacks from the bench isnt that difficult.....consider that when they put him in, they tell him to go get the QB and he doesnt have to play the run....also, in those situations the offense is in a clear passing situation, which means long distances to gain 1st downs, which means deeper routes required, deeper drops by the QB and more time to get to him....case in point, Trace Armstrong had 16 sacks for the Dolphins a few years ago and didnt start any games....he played that exact role....I dont think he was a top-5 DE at that time....

    I haven't seem enough of him to call him a top 5 DE in the NFL. Maybe he's a top pass rusher in a league but as an all around player I would assume he's not as good as the Mike Strahan's and such...
