He's been upgraded to day-to-day and I expect him back for the Mavs game. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Mar 2 The San Antonio Express-News is reporting that Tim Duncan's injured left quad is making significant improvement and may allow the All-Star to return sooner than expected, perhaps as early as tomorrow night. "I don't expect him to play on Wednesday," coach Gregg Popovich told the News-Express. "But he has gotten better every day and says he's feeling pretty good. Hopefully, he'll be back." Duncan has missed two games with the injury he suffered last Thursday. </div>
The Spurs will be loving that, they need him. Without him they just seem lost on court, and rely on someone else to step up. He should be able to continue where he left off, and make a late season run at MVP (might of left it a little to late though).
yea. but i just hope they dont rush him back. they would be crazy to play him at all tonight. i think friday is when he will return, but i dont think he will get his usual minutes.
I'm going to the March 9th game Spurs @ Memphis.. hopefully Duncan will return. I heard he was coming back after that game though.
I wouldnt like him to rush it..He is going to be wise and take it slowly...A knee contusion is a very painful and weird sensation...It will do more damage if he comes back to soon...I would rather him rest it...I would like to see him make a last run to try and get MVP again..But we will just have to wait and see!
You know he's burning to come back, but with his team doing well without him, he should take the time to make sure it heals. It was a bizarre injury because it seemed to come out of nowhere. Those are the scariest.
Well it didnt really come out of "nowhere"...He said he ran into scot williams...(Seems like this guy has a curse on injuring people..eg..Karl Malone)..But it didnt take effect untill later on in the game!
I'm not saying Duncan getting injured was a good thing but it gave guys who were struggling a chance to shine. Rasho has averaged around 19 points 11 rebounds with Duncan out in these 3 games. Hedo has stepped up his offensive game as well.
