Apple has already gone smaller than its flagship 10-inch iPad and next year, the company is supposedly planning to release a much bigger tablet to take on rivals like Samsung. The 7.9-inch iPad mini debuted in November 2012, surprising some who believed Cupertino was perfectly content with the shape and size of its original iPad.
