I've now seen Ronaldo take two penalties and he seems to stop on his run up. I don't understand how he gets away with this - is it not against the rules any more?

Lots of people do this. He barely stops. Since when was that against the rules.

I've seen lots of players pausing in the middle of there run ups I dont think there ever was a rule against it

they changed the rule in regards to stopping when taking a pen but it's not cheating, just fooling them

Yeah Lots of players stop while shooting penalties. L.Figo and Ronaldo while in Inter were notorious for it. Rules might have changed since then, I personally think its cheating! It's hard enough for a golie to stop a penalty stopping only makes it harder.
