With all the recent activities that the Kings have done within the past few weeks,do all of us think these moves are for the better or for the worst??

Like for example...picking up Eddie House from the waivers..so far it's been a good move,or another example...trading Christie for Motumbo...now that move has been working wonders for the Kings in the past few games.

These are my opinons, but i'm not the entire Kings page at JBB...I'd like to know how all of us Kings fan's feel on these moves??

i think so far so good

only time will tell ya know

as much as i will miss DC...im happy to see Mutombo..hehehe....

im glad he's getting along with everyone and fitting in real well...in two games he's quickly become a real leader in the huddles and in the lockeroom im hearing...and thats always great news

some people have been quick to slam Eddie...i still don't know where i stand on him yet...he's a offensive minded player but i think in the games he's been in he's did real well defensively...staying with his man and all...he's real quick...and you can totally see that he really wants to fit in and play for the kings...it may not show in his stat lines but he does put a lot of effort out there...sometimes thats all you can ask for...plus his addition makes our bench deeper something that is very refreshing to hear as a kings fan

I really want to see Michael get in there and play see what he can do...ive never seen him play before so im really interested...even if he just goes out and gives 100% effort and be's scrappy...pull down some MUCH needed rebounds...that would be a MAJOR + for us...but he's gotta get some PT first

out of all the comotion(sp?) of that past few days...in the past 2 games Kevin Martin has seen zero PT...and thats really unfortunate...cuz i truly believe when he's on the floor he makes us better...and he's definetly proved that over the past few weeks...now RA said he was gonna try and get him in there...but so far nothing...i think Kev can make big things happen...maybe alternating between him and Mo subing for Cat is an answer...but im no coach...but like i said Kev's gotta get on the floor...fans miss him out there

Uhh, I'm pretty sure they traded Christie for Mobley. Anyway, he's done decently so far, nothing too special really. As for Eddie House, I really haven't been impressed with anything he's done. He misses open shots, commits stupid turnovers and doesn't really add anything to the team. I think he can do a lot better and just needs time to fit in and he'll do fine.

lol, they're just kidding about the fact that Mobley has been blocking shots like a madman... Four blocks on his debut... Two in his second game with one of them running the floor to block a Kaman layup... You might just mistake him for Mutumbo if he keeps this up [IMG]

Eddie House: Good pickup, needed a backup guard that knows how to bring the ball up and can shoot. he isnt going to be replacing jackson or bibby any time soon, but a good aquisition.

Mobley, good pickup, trading defense for offense, but hey, like I have said... if you are going to commit to winning it on the offensive side of the ball, might as well go all out & get a solid player that can put up a lot of minutes as a backup and/or starting 1 or 2 & has a great long range shot...

the weeding out of the bench during the pre-season. turns out that Petrie & Adelman were right again... this bench is a lot better than anyone had really expected. At the start of the season, everyone was looking at the bench as being suspect with only Songaila and Jackson as the only real bench they had... then Ostertag started grabbing rebounds, blocking shots & forcing shooters to try & shoot around him, Evans Barnes and Martin showed that they are solid bench players that have really come through in crunch time (more so with Martin and Evans, but Barnes is hardly a 'useless' player on this team and has a great knack for being in the right place at the right time to grab critical rebounds). Now all the sudden media folk are starting to say "hey... this bench aint so bad..."

here is the really hard question:
"Is this team good enough to get to the Western Conference Finals?"
They have the offensive firepower to out shoot any team in the leage. There is no defense at all when sac gets out of their zone. When they are in the zone they are a barely capable defensive team (meaning they can get some important stops when they need to, but its still going to be a red carpet in the lane for a lot of the league's top offensive players). This is something that can be addressed, but I really dont think there is going to be much change defensivly in Sac.

They look like they could be just about any team on any given night, but in a seven game series, any team they lock up with in the second round or later is going to be tough for them. If they can play their best ball in the playoffs, the answer is a flat yes they can win it all this year. But they have a real penchant for doing exactly the opposite when it comes to playoff time.

the kings would prefer to have christie than mobley becuase they love christie. mobley is a better shooter and scorer and christie is a better defender.mobleys defense isnt as good but his shootin makes up for the defense. i think the kings will play better and have a better offesne

I love the all the moves that the Kings have made recently. The Christie for Bradley and Mobley was a great move in my opinion and Mobley has provided far more so far than anyone thought when the trade was first made. So far as a King, Mobley has proven that he is a very skilled defender (not only 1 on 1 but helpside also) and has been able to shoulder the load on offence that was left from the absense of Jackson. Just one example of why I think this was a great trade happened in the game tonight. In the third quarter against Portland, the Blazers were starting to grab momemtum and most of the Kings big guns weren't doing too much. Peja had 4 points, Webber was playing well but not exploding (yet) and Bibby and Miller were quiet. Mobley came in after just 2 in the first half and dropped 13 in the quarter, single-handedly keeping the Kings in the game and helping them pull it out in overtime. I also love the way that Martin and Evans have been stepping it up lately. They have been a big boost to the club both offensively and defensively and they should be that much better when Bobby Jackson returns. This team (barring any more injuries) has a very good chance of making a very serious run at the Title this season. I've been saying it all along, I think that Phoenix will falter down the stretch, the Kings WILL win the Pacific, and if they can get some sort of home-court advantage (hopefully the 2 seed, behind the Spurs) this team can make some noise in June. If not, then we might be seeing a lot more new faces around next year.

BTW: My favorite pickup this season has been that of Eddie House. I think that he can fit in very well with the Kings system and more importantly... I called the move [IMG]

Of course it was a good move. Giant Midget just summed up everything. Christie produced on defense. Mobley will produce on both ends, offense and d. It's plain to see who got the better end of this deal. But I hope this deal works out for both teams.

The Kings definitely improved themselves with this trade. Cuttino Mobley is a better player than Doug Christie -- there's no way around it. They're both good defenders -- Christie gets the attention (largely because of his deficiencies on offense) whereas Mobley is underrated in that respect. I think Orlando made the trade because they felt that Christie would be a better role player than Mobley coming off the bench, and they wanted to put Turkoglu in the starting lineup. But Mobley is definitely a better fit in the Kings starting lineup.
