If they beat Portland, big deal...they beat a team that is decimated by injuries. If they lose to Portland, they lost to a team that is decimated by injuries.
Kobe has a big enough ego to pump his chest if they win tonight. But I'd love to hear him address in the post-game why they can't win in Portland again, should it come to that.
It doesn't matter who the Lakers win against. A win is a win. A loss is a loss. And it counts as one, no matter what. Whether you win by 40 points or lose by 1. Winning against the Portland Trail Blazers would be equally as satisfying as winning against, let's say, the Celtics. Our win record just goes up one.
yeah right. Beating the Cavs > Beating the Timberwolves. big wins and losses have huge psychological factors in them. they have lost 8 straight at the RG...need to get that monkey off their back.
Lakers win...they're 1st in the West....Lakers lose....they're 1st in the West. It doesn't matter to the Lakers until post season IMO.
Do I have to break out the video of Kobe pissed last year when they lost to the Blazers? Don't tell me it doesn't matter. It surely does.
Actually they're in a win-lose situation. If they win, they add a win to their 'W' column, if they lose it goes in the 'L' column.
