Not a bad deal if you are not a season ticket holder, but think it overlaps too much with Rip City United to be worth the price for STH's.

It's really simple if you know what the team is trying to do. They're attempting to expand the brand to include more people outside Portland. That's why they're really pushing this Rip City shit. Instead of being the "Portland Trail Blazers," they push the Rip City thing and it makes more people feel included. There's a reason why there's a Blazers logo in the outline of the state of Oregon. They don't just want it to be Portland's team. They want it to be Oregon's team, they want it to be Washington's team and Idaho and Montana. If they create this imaginary place called Rip City, where anyone can be a resident, they will include more people..

 

I have no problem with that. Rip city resident is still dumb. Make it a rip city shirt without the resident part and it's fine. Rip city army would be fine. Rip city till I die is cool. Resident just sounds terrible

 

Good deal actually. A window sticker alone usually runs $10-$20 and shirts are always over priced. Im tempted. Right now I have a hat in my back window and my truck is painted black with red rims. No one knows who the blazers are here though. When I was watching game at work someone asked if lebron was still on the team. They thought we were the heat because we had the same colors. And they were like where is rip city? I got to break it down for them like a real fan.
