I wouldn't say "excited," but it looks pretty funny from the trailers. It looks really formulaic, but it also looks like it has decent writing. Who knows... point is, yeah, I'll probably wind up seeing it... Is it sorta a sequel to "Wedding Crashers"? It'd be cool if they worked in some backstory/references...
It looks like nothing special but I'm actually about to go see it right now. My husband has plans, I have no plans so I have to pick a movie he doesn't want to see. I tend to like the studio comedies better than the critics so I have hopes this will just be a fine average movie. I walked out of Hangover 3 after about 20 minutes and I'm one of the few people who liked Hangover 2. Anyway, off I go. I'll report on it when I get back. In the meantime, go to WildishTheater.com and buy tickets for my cabaret show.
Man, you need to have some serious discussions with the web person responsible for the stretch job on your photo on the WildishTheater page.
Just got back. I loved every single minute of it. It's a perfectly done formulaic Hollywood feel good comedy. I love Vince Vaughn and Owen Wlson and they're at the top of the game. The audience went wild for it too. Lots of laughter and applause. I laughed out loud several times. Thumbs up! Thanks e_blazer. Those were shots from the video of the show and that is the one the theater picked. Are you coming, I hope?
Thanks for the review, and even more, thanks for not spoiling the movie. I'm going to go see it on Sunday afternoon while my wife and kids are at a birthday party, and your review solidified that it's the movie I want to go see.
