Well, if he is convicted, they can void the contract and release him. His value is probably low, so I'd assume this would be a good time to rebuild.

followup- arenas has released a public statement after his two hour interview with investigators today- in which he said it was a prank gone awry and that he sincerely apologized to all parties for his actions. it appears like arenas left 3 unloaded firearms on a table with a note that asked crittenton to pick one in an dumbarse attempt at a practical joke. crittention was infuriated by the letter and that was the extent of the altercation. so apparently no one was brandishing a gun in a threatening manner and ny post's reporting has been thoroughly rebuked
