Wow, it's amazing what crime can do to your career...Eddie Griffin was an excellent example. Hope Arenas stays out of trouble in the future so he can focus his attention on his basketball, not criminal, career.

Damn dont even remind me about Eddie Griffen he ws the biggest bust ever. Cant believe the rockets traded Kenny Thomas (speaking as a sixer fan thank you) to give this guy playing time only to have him get involved with the wrong stuff. Anyway this is not a big deal one game he will get through it.

I ahve seen much worst like players like Sheed and others like damon stoudmire being suspended for marajuana use yet they pulled through it. He should have no trouble getting through thsi personally I think the nba needs to stay out of players legal problems let the courts and the player handle it they got involved with Glenn Robinson last year and C-webb now arenas there going to court doing what the court tells them the nba needs to leave stuff that happens off the court off the court.

Nothing too big, they were playing Memphis anyway. But I really wanted to see how Antawn Jamison and him worked together, well I will have to wait until the second game. So he had like a gun and it wasnt registered?

Nothing major..he better register all his weapons all the time now, but why does he even need one?

NBA players seem to be the biggest target for negative things in the sports, so I would say its might be for protection. NBA players are probably the most recognizable athletes in the world. And there has been alot of inncidents involving ball players over the years. The Paul Pierce stabbing a few years ago, Antoine Walker's friend getting shot, when some was trying to car jack AW's car, Steph getting robbed in a night club when he was on the Nets. And then almost getting car jacked a few years ago. NBA players seem to be targets so I guess Gilbert fills the need to have protection when he steps out side.

Ummmm....this was brought up when he signed his offer sheet. He was just out of state at the time. It was registered in his home state. It would be foolish to get angry with him since the Wizards brass knew about this before he was signed.

I doubt the organization is mad with him...I just think it is stupid for him to carry a gun..what if he gets caught up in an argument and he uses it...the results of a car jacking (hopefully he will comply if something like that ever happens) are much better than him ringing out a few shots in a heated argument...

I don't think this will affect him in anyway, he will still have a standout season. And one game is no big deal.
