Let me say that I loved Gilbert when he was here. 1) Second round draft pick by the Dubs. Feels slighted by the rest of the league for not going in the first round. 2) Claims he'll start by the end of his first year. By the end of his first year he starts. 3) Has a fantastic second year opening eyes around the league, solid nucleus with Troy, himself, Dunleavy, Dampier, J-Rich. 4) Jamison is said to have a problem with him.(ballhog) 5) declines the Warriors offer (which supposedly includes a future promise of more money) Takes the money and runs to Washington. 6) Reunites with 2 former W's , one who has a problem with him, and one who's job he took at Golden State. They mature and gel into making the playoffs. 7) His running mate leaves him for Lebron. Why? Money? Better team? Problems with Gilbert? 8) Going to take the young rookie Blatche under his wing. Blatche is shot! 9) Kwame claims he wants to B-slap Gilbert! Gilbert claims he has no idea where this is coming from. I'm on Arens' side on this one, Kwame's a punk! I really like Gilbert and would love to still have him on the team. But doubt we would've done a deal for B-Diddy with him on the team.
Gilbert's a definite suspect as he is incredibly immature. His on court pouting is legend. I'm sure players have issues with Gilbert. When he was here his antics were widely reported. Remember when he refused to score after Jamison called him out. He is a very talented guy with an undone biscuit for a brain.
