During tonight's 35-19 Argonauts win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Investors Group Field, Argos QB Ricky Ray set a new CFL record for completion percentage in a single game at 95%. He completed 19 of 20 pass attempts for 286 yards and 2 touchdowns before leaving the game in the third quarter.

Ray supplanted himself in the CFL record books. Prior to tonight, he held the league record at 92% (23 of 25), set on October 31, 2008 against the Montreal Alouettes when Ray was a member of the Edmonton Eskimos. Ray also set an Argos all-time record as he shattered the previous single-game completion percentage mark of 87.1% (27 of 31) set by Condredge Holloway on July 12, 1985 against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Earlier in the game, Ray also took over third place on the CFL's all-time completions list, passing Danny McManus with 3,644 career completions.

The Toronto Argonauts' next game is Tuesday, July 30 at 7:30pm when the Double Blue host the BC Lions at Rogers Centre. Tickets for all Argonauts home games can be purchased by calling 416-341-ARGO (2746) or by visiting argonauts.ca.
