Ariza Sprains MCL, Out 6-8 Weeks January 11, 2006 Orlando forward Trevor Ariza has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 sprain of the MCL (medial collateral ligament) of his right knee, following an MRI late this afternoon in Los Angeles. Ariza will be out 6-8 weeks following rehabilitation. No surgery is required. He suffered the injury with 46.8 seconds left during the first half of last night's win at Golden State. This season, Ariza has appeared in 31 games (seven starts) for the Magic, averaging 8.6 ppg., 4.5 rpg., 1.3 apg. and 1.16 stlpg. in 23.0 minpg. Damn, I was hoping it wouldn't be anything serious. Six to eight weeks is a long time and this is really bad news. Hopefully his game won't be messed up when he returns and Hedo Turkoglu can stay healthy for awhile. The good news is that no surgery is required. Get well soon Trevor!
oh, this is great. Just when he was getting hot, he goes down. He should be back by the time we face Denver on February 28th, maybe earlier like elevate said.
