I really believe his agent royally fucked him over.

I bet Lee thought Mitch was bluffing and would cave into their demands. I don't think he expected Artest to be had for so cheap.

    Wow...

    David Lee is a douchebag.

All Houston can offer is MLE. I thought he was gonna get an 8-9 million per year contract? ROFL how does this guy still have a job. I feel bad for Trev. Wish him well.

That's sad. I can never watch the Jimmy Kimmel interview with the Lakers again. He was so happy :(

i doubt it. as soon as the rockets said they were only offering artest a one year deal, everyone knew that the most he was going to sign for was the mle. he wasn't going to go to memphis or somewhere.

Why does Ariza seem to be putting the blame on the Lakers? We tried to sign you, asshole, for the same amount of money you'll be getting wherever you end up and YOU AND YOUR AGENT told us to fuck off. We gave you first dibs. We did we had to do BUT ONLY AFTER YOU DID WHAT YOU THOUGHT YOU SHOULDVE DONE.

So long. Loved you as a Laker.

He's signing with Houston. For the MLE...

Basically the same amount we probably offered him. And according to David Lee, talks were going nowhere. It could've been Trevor in a Lakers uni next year, in front of his family, his home town, defending his ring. Instead, Ron will take his place, and he gets to go to Houston, a team without a #1 option. Now he'll have to create shots on his own. I wonder how well that will work out for him. Lee screwed him over so bad.

    Away from Cleveland, sweet!

I feel bad for him. His game is going to be exposed so badly next year.

Nothing. He could've resigned with us for the same amount, but his agent screwed him over. Oh well, like Mamba said, at least he didn't sign with a contender. I still like Trevor and I wish him well.

He'll be able to compete for a starting role.

In Cleveland, his minutes would be so limited behind LeBrick.

Surprised his agent still has a job.

fuck i am so pissed at this move! why did this happen!? ariza is a backstabber, i cant understand why he let his agent force him out of LA? why?! there is no reasonable explanation for this what-so-ever. he left la where he grew up, where his family lives, where the only team that gave him a chance is, why would you sign with houston, a team you beat in the playoffs, a team whos major players are done for, a team with no forseeable future, whos going to begin a rebuild mode. you wont return back to the lakers and be a part of the ring presentation next season, and you probably wont ever get another chance at making it back to the finals! why the holy fuck did this happen?!!!! im going to fucking kill this son of a bitch, fuck you ariza you fucking cocksucking peice of shit. he has slapped this organization in the face, along with its fans, he deserves no respect, and when next season rolss around, and the lakers play the rockets, you know kobe is going to eat him alive, he's done for.

Man this shit backfired on Ariza and his agent! He has to be crying right now. I live in Houston and I've been to Los Angeles. You dont have to visit both places to know this but obviously Houston doesn't compare. I hope you're ready for this heat Trevor. And oh yeah, our beach, a.k.a. Galveston, looks like a toilet.

Good Luck though. I hope it works out for you.

he'll be a solid role player for houston. if yao can get healthy, i like him more for the team than artest just like i like ariza more for the lakers than artest.

but as it is now, i think the teams are exchanging players but not getting better for it. ariza probably will struggle with no star to play off of.

You're crazy if you don't think the Lakers got better.

    Really.

    You're crazy.

ESPN reports Ariza got a 5 year deal worth $33 mil.
