Arizona meteor rattles homes in Tucson: ‘It was absolutely enormous’

    A meteor exploded over Tucson, Arizona, Tuesday night with a loud boom — rattling the homes beneath — as stargazers got ready for what will be one of the best celestial shows of the year.

    “I [saw] this tremendous, white, bright light in the western sky,” Tony Kubrak told KGUN after the meteor shook his home. “It was just … it was absolutely enormous, I couldn’t believe it.”

    The meteor was caught from a distance on a car’s dash-mounted camera, which shows a white light flare in the sky before extinguishing about two seconds later.
