That translates to about 9-lbs. for flyweights going up to 13-lbs. for welterweights and 15-lbs. for light heavyweights. Weight-cutting is dangerous and I support this kind of measure. I am concerned about fight night weigh-ins since they put fights in jeopardy with no time to spare--I doubt many fighters would reject a fight on minutes notice because their opponent missed weight. The 24-hour routine at least gives them the option.
