I almost started a thread with this exact same title.. Hibbert looked great in the first. So did Collison. Pacers are a good young team but I don't think they will steal this game.
This is why the NBA sucks ass today and the root of most of it's problems: Indiana is leading this game and has been leading throughout, but the announcers are sucking Derrick Rose and the Bulls' cocks this entire first half. All about how Rose is the greatest, he's "relentless", the Chicago defense is "stifling", and on and on and on.... and the Pacers are ahead of them. This is why the marketing of the NBA has killed the golden goose: it's all about individual players and large-market teams.... there's no more "games". In fact, ESPN would probably rather they not even play the games. Just have the "Superstars" and the "Big Teams" to play themselves. "Lakers vs. Lakers". NEVER EVER forget that statement from Stern.
I thought this was gonna be all Chicago in the second, they are defiantly getting the benefit of the calls, but the Pacers are showing some great intensity and are just making great play after great play.
They've given some praise to the Pacers.. The Bulls had the best record in the league and have the MVP. I don't think it's that unfair.
Meanwhile, Doris Burke goes on and on about how great we are and everybody in here hates her? You can't fault the announcers for talking about the MVP who is the leading scorer in the game. They've acknowledged how good Collison is playing though.
I agree they are sooooooooooooo annoying. They'll comment on a great play from the pacers for 1s then go on and on and on about Chicago and Rose for another 30s. If your team doesn't have a superstar then no matter what they do they will just be brushed aside and kind of ignored by the announcers.
When announcing a game they should talk about the game more and less about certain players over and over and over (unless of course they are doing amazing in the game)
DUDE! Chicago EARNED this praise by getting the best record in the league. It's not like they got this praise last year.
Jesus I feel sorry for the Sixers today. The announcers will barely even acknowledge them. Fuck ESPN.
Yes but HE is playing amazing which was your qualifier. And his team is only losing by 4. You can't talk about a player if his team is losing? That's ridiculous. They've gone on and on about how great Collison is playing so calm down. And if Aldridge plays well tonight, they'll praise him too.
