Bad goals all around in DC as the Isles lead 3-1 after the 2nd. GO ISLES!!!

I hate the Montreal fans. My lord they are annoying. Always complaining. Matches up well with their coaches and players always whining. Subban slashes a guys arm off and he jumps up and down like what penalty on me...comical. Hate them. Hammy looking bad in goal for the Sens. 4-3 Habs late 2nd.

Preds up 1-0 in the 1st. Everyone picked the Hawks to win that series and win the West. Like the Preds were a joke. I think the Hawks win also, but the Preds are a good team. GO PREDS

if that's directed at me, I still think they will. The Isles have blown leads all year long, no reason why they cant blow a playoff series lead as well.

Not surprised with the Isles - Caps game 1 so far, hard hitting mistakes galore. Montreal - Ottawa has been interesting, Subban deserved what he got. that was a disgusting two handed slash at the wrists that could have ended stones playoffs, that said Ottawa will regret not winning this game if they cant pull it out.

Nashville - Chicago. Im stunned at the 3-0 scored at the end of the first, but then again Nashville has the best Defense in the west if not the league.

Hawks battle back. Now 3-2. After a 3-0 lead the Preds kind of have to win this game IMO.

Isles played really well, and the Caps laid a huge egg. Flat and Holtby not strong. They will need to play MUCH better to win game 2 let alone the series.

I know as fans we overreact to one game or one period, but slow it down. A long way to go in that series. I am not ready to crown the Isles after game 1. Just like there was a long way to go in the Hawks/Preds game.

It may go 6/7 but the Isles matchup well with them and will probably outsmart them in the end.

Refs are really intimidated in that Montreal zoo. Opponents
have to play flawless, errorless hockey. Those fans really believe
that their team is the best and always deserve the win. Obnoxious
fans are the cherry on the cake. So they think.

Tonight is why many including myself think the Hawks are coming out of the West. They are down 3-0 and pull Crawford, Darling looks like Roy circa 1986 and they score 4 unanswered goals to win in 2OT

That team is battle tested talented and very dangerous

That's about as demoralizing a loss as you can have if you're the Preds. Will be very hard for them to bounce back from that, especially with the limited playoff experience a lot of their guys have.

Yeah, the Preds kind of needed to win that game after getting a 3-0 lead.

That Central division is so darn good. Best series of round 1 may be the Wild/Blues series. Man for man I think the Blues are the best team in the NHL...BUT can their goalie make the big saves you need in the playoffs. Starting Allen over Elliott which says a lot about their opinion of Elliott. I really like that team though outside of the goalie. That is going to be a very interesting series.

Also interested in the Jets/Ducks series. A lot of people picking the Jets. Winner of that series has a good path to the WCF as they would play the Flames or Canucks in round 2.

The 2nd round series between the Hawks and Wild/Blues could decide the West. Going to be a fun watch out there.

Preds went up 3-0 and then the refs stepped in and missed cheap shots by the Hawks but called the retaliatory shots by the Preds, they have to be smarter if they want to have any chance of beating the Hawks. I agree about Montreal fans, they're like Eagle fans who cheer an opponent's injury. Why the refs had to gather and spend 5 minutes trying to determine whether Subban's brutal slash was a major or not was laughable, there was a clear intent to injure, embellishment is irrelevant. If the Caps keep trying to goon it up with the Isles instead of focusing on offense they'll be done quickly.

That OTT-MTL game was ugly. Lots of dirty plays by MTL. Just seconds before PK became a lumberjack, Eller butt ended an OTT guy in the chin (you know, the same thing Glass did to get a suspension, let's see if anything happens to him).Caps showing that, as good as Ovie is, he still needs help and when he doesn't get any Washington is awful. That Chi-Nashville game was great, until the refs started really blowing the game, especially missing a clear penalty shot in the first OT. But, man, so happy hockey is back after a few days with none. :)

Subban just continues to get more and more ridiculous. A very talented player who just acts like an idiot. As soon as the ref put his arm up last night he was jumping up and down like an idiot.

The ottowa player is maybe their best player and he has a micro fracture in his wrist and ligament damage. How the hell is subban not suspended. Maybe because stefane quintal former montreal player is somehow the one making this decision. This series is now going to get very ugly.
