Arsenal have made their 16th consecutive appearance in the Champions League a certainty with two easy playoff wins over Turkish side Fenerbahçe, defeating the Süper Lig runners-up 0-3 at Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium in Istanbul last week and 2-0 at Emirates Stadium in London this evening. Aaron Ramsey scored a brace at The Grove to solidify Arsenal's place in the Group Stage, the draw for which takes place on Thursday in Monaco. Although they can't meet in the Group Stage, Arsenal will be joined this season by Premiership clubs Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea in the Champions League. Arsenal may have gone through either way with Fenerbahçe facing match-fixing sanctions from UEFA that should see them out of international tournaments for at least the next two seasons. A ruling should come down on Sarı Lacivertliler within the next day or two.
