Arsenal lining up move for Russian ace <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>According to The Daily Telegraph, Arsenal could turn to Russian star Andrei Arshavin should Emmanuel Adebayor leave the club, after the club reportedly received offers from both Barcelona and AC Milan worth around £21 million. Reports in Spain suggest that Arsenal will sell should they receive an offer around the £25 million mark, however it is unlikely that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will want to let one of his star players go. Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola has admitted that he would like to bring a new striker in to replace Samuel Eto’o, whilst AC Milan director Adriano Galliani has told press that Adebayor is the Italian clubs only transfer target. The Daily Telegraph claims that Wenger has made contact with Arshavin’s current club Zenit St. Petersburg to discuss the availability of the play-maker. Whilst Arshavin is of different style to Adebayor, Wenger is said to be keen to land the Russian star before another top European club comes in for the player and Arshavin is said to be seeking a move to the Premier League.</div>
They should do that, seriously. Screw Adebayor if he really does want to leave so badly. Arshavin is better anyway. He's far more versatile and can not only score like mad from the midfield or second striker positions, but he's a playmaker first.
He was damn impressive in the game against the Dutch. I felt he held onto the ball a bit too long at times, but he creates opportunities every time he touches the ball and he just got so much natural talent. I read somewhere , that we can't just assume that he'll be an easy transfer target though. Like M's been telling us, those Russian teams have a ton of money behind them and they can afford to keep a player like this. If anything, we might be seeing more players entering their league than leaving it.
Not always the clubs choice. Look at Ronaldo for instance. The most expensive footballer right now (debatable) and it looks like he's leaving no matter how much money Man. United have.
Well Arshavin wants a move to spain in La Liga. I read an interesting article yesterday saying that Adebayor was only good because of the amount of chances he got from the likes of Fabregas, Rosicky, Hleb Etc. IF that's true imagine what we could do with a good striker like Arshavin or Villa????
