The following is a list of former Arsenal youth players, some of which are only on loan from Arsenal. Although some of the players history is somewhat self explanatory e.g. Boa Morte and John Hartson, what you will particularly note is how they are enjoying successful and fulfilling careers at other clubs having benefited, in no small part, from an Arsenal schooling. What we must understand and endeavor to address, as football men, is the fact that young English footballers are inferior to their counterparts, albeit primarily in terms of technical ability. Therefore, Arsenal being a top Premiership club will only demand the cream of young English footballing talent, which sadly is few and far between. Most of which are exorbitantly priced. Consequently, the priority at Arsenal, and other top clubs, is to develop talent to the best of their ability irrespective of nationality and to ensure that every player reaches their respective potential and more, what ever path they are to tread in years to come. In addition, please note that there are many more which have not been included, 90 per cent of the list are under 25 and that the list includes 15 players of British origin! Premiership 1.
