Wonder if having the Artest circus over with will finally pave the way for other moves to be made? Alot of teams likely held off on making minor deals if they even thought they had a chance.

You never know, one big deal usually always starts the ball rolling. No one ever seems to want to be the first to make a big move.

Well the Szcerbiak/Davis trade was pretty big. Besides the 2 primaries, Olowokandi and Blount trade places too.

Interesting to see how it works out for Minny. I heard they had their choice of that one or Wally and something for Steve Francis but they didn't want the headache so they took Ricky Davis.

How ironic does that sound [IMG]

Operant conditioning. They've seen Steve Francis in Minnesota before in the form of Stephon Marbury, so they gambled that Ricky Davis would work out better.

Well, frankly Davis has shown that he can mature and not be the selfish/bad attitude player that he was in the past, while Stevie Franchise has shown that he will continue to whine and be a problem with any organization. I would make the same decision even though Francis has superior talent.

Ricky is a pretty decent consolation prize though, talentwise. Getting Francis would make the acquisition of Jaric pointless too, and Francis isn't effective enough to make that a moot point.

Actually, Jaric's size would allow Francis to play shooting guard, so that situation wouldn't have been too bad.

Except for the fact that I think Francis needs the ball in his hands to be effective, so I think playing exclusive 2 guard would make him largely ineffective.
