Just had some down time in between meetings with Daryl and Les Alexander. Just kidding.

DUDE...what happens to LO and Ariza now? Ariza definitely seems like a goner, but what about LO? Do we bring him back?

I'm waiting to see if this hits another source first. The beauty of having Artest gives the Lakers options on who they re-sign between Odom or Ariza. With Artest's ability to play either forward position the Lakers have insurance for either Ariza or Odom leaving.

Yeah, God bless Mitch. The Magic Wand strikes again!

I just hope this Ken Berger guy isn't full of it like Peter Vecsey.

Where's Mamba at? Starbucks? Like he was when we got Gasol?

    lol

This better be legit though. Knowing Ron, he could be doing this just to get attention and screw us all over. After all, that is what crazy people do. Crazy stuff.

Congrats. Good luck with him. At this stage, I think the Rockets are better off with Ariza than Artest, so I hope we get him at a decent price.

Precisely my thinking. Artest can do what either of them can do. He can play D, provide energy, shoot spot up 3s like Ariza. He can score, provide mismatches, pass (hes an underrated passer IMO), and be that third scorer like Odom. He does take a lot of bad shots though. Really good move for the Lakers however. They've got options should they sign Odom or Ariza or even someone else.

Re: ARTEST TO SIGN WITH THE LAKERS - CBS Sports

You know your team better than I do but I can't see how you guys are better off unless you're rebuilding. You officially have no go-to guy with T-Mac and Yao likely being out for most/all of next year and when they do return they may not be stars any more(T-Mac was fading fast too). Ariza is nice but what does he give that you don't already have in Battier besides youth/potential? I don't see a Brooks, Ariza, Battier, Scola, Landry/Gortat team doing very well.

But if you guys are rebuilding then Ariza is better than Artest. Allows you to trade Battier for something valuable.

Re: ARTEST TO SIGN WITH THE LAKERS - CBS Sports

Holy shit batman. What a coup for the Lakers. Re-signing Odom would be good too, but even if they let both Odom and Ariza walk, they're probably still a better team after this signing.

Artest didn't make any sense in Houston any more. They have to rebuild. T-Mac is done, Yao probably is too.

I wanna see the Lakers sign Odom and the Spurs sign Rasheed now. That would be an epic WCF.

LO's definitely coming back. No team is gonna give him a huge offer, and he's BFF with Ron Artest.

I wonder if the deal got done in Odum's barn last night over a game of billiards and a bowl of skittles. Taste the rainbow David Lee.

I was picking up a salad at Farmer Boy's! LMFAO!

Last year when we got Gasol, I was at In n Out!

Every time I get food, something good happens for the Lakers!!!!!

    I love this move.

    Now lets get Odom!
