supossivley there is anear trade between the kings and spurs that will send ARtest to Spurs for Elson and Barry. ill post a link in a second.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The source indicated that the San Antonio Spurs have now entered the bidding offering a package of Francisco Elson, Brent Barry and multiple draft picks. The Spurs late interest may have encouraged Denver to consider upping the ante in their pursuit of Artest. Despite Denver's ongoing interest in Artest, Memphis' Mike Miller has been Denver's number one target from the start. However, one source stated that Miller has "been pulled off the table." The Nuggets made an effort to get him, but it appears they are going to come up short in their pursuit.</div> http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=7502 I've tought about the Spurs trying ot aquire Artest but i didn't think they'd have the pieces.
That would be sooo messed up. And sooo unfair. I mean, think about it...for this season, at least: A star in the East wants a trade. Where does he get traded? Out West, of course. Makes perfect sense. Oh, but a star player in the West wants a trade. You'd think Western teams would be smart enough to trade him to the East, right? NOPE. Keep the good players in the Western Conference! Great idea, guys! Today's not a good day for me.
So much for this trade. It was probably just bait for the Nuggets to up their deal though, which I'd think they will regardless.
