<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Rocky Mountain News - Ron Artest revealed on Saturday night, following the Kings' 100-82 win over Denver, that he has interest in becoming a coach one day.

"I wish I had a chance to work with him,’’ Artest said. "Hopefully, one day I can be a coach and coach a guy like Carmelo Anthony. He's got to move a little more, pass to his teammates a little more, do more without the ball. ‘If you're not scoring, do something else.’ I think I would tell him that, but I don't want to give him too many of my tips. He got frustrated a couple of times (Saturday) when he got passed up, but that happens sometimes, you are going to get passed up. You just keep playing.’’</div>

I think Artest would be a great coach. He already has the intelligence and good decision making to really excell at the position. [IMG]

I do. You're telling me you wouldn't care if Artest told the news he signed a deal with (enter your favorite team) as a free agent?

Artest as an NBA coach would be hilarious, must be pretty freaky. But from what hes saying about Melo it looks like he knows something about that.

Artest is to caoching as isiah thomas is to GM.

it would be funny if one of his players accidently spilled their cup on him, he would probably kill them right there on the court, then make a terrible rap album about it.

It's funny to look at all the stupid remarks you guys have left. You're all blowing Artest way out of proportion. From the posts I've read, you all seem about 9, making childish posts that just aren't funny. Artest is an excellent player and has not done anything wrong this season. He deserves another chance like everyone else. Whats to say he wouldn't be a good coach if he got the chance? Now, obviously I'm a Kings fan so I'm going to stick up for him just like you guys would stick up for players on your teams.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I could see Artest as a coach, just yelling refs alot and chasing them up and down the sidelines lol.</div>

Has he ever chased refs before? No. Has he ever yelled at refs out of the ordinary? No. Everyone is just being stupid. Not funny. Here are a few more stupid posts.

Why? You gave no reason why Artest would be a bad coach. He actually does have a great understanding of the game. Firstly, you can't spill a cup. SO you're saying Artest would kill his own player for accidently spilling a drink on him, but would only fight with a knacker fan that purposely throws a drink on him for no reason? I wonder could you think of anything less intelligent. Shaq has rapped. You don't go around saying he'll probably make a rap album about Bynum dunking on his fat ass. So what if Artest has rapped, lots of players have.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I think Artest would be a great coach. It seems like you're just trying to get your post counter up.

I know I'm going to be bashed now, but thats what you get for sticking up for the "bad guys". Even Larry Bird said that everything Artest did was made out to be worse than it was, and that he gets way too mich bad publicity, often for no valid reason.

So screwing over the Pacers organization by demanding a trade after they waited so patient on him isn't wrong. After all the things he did..they didn't give up on him..and all of a sudden he decided <u>he</u> needs a change. He is lucky the Pacers didn't dump him last year.

He didn't actually demand a trade. He said a trade may suit the Pacers and himself. I remember Peja "demanded" a trade, but people didn't go round saying he screwed over the Kings. So why do people say it in this situation? Because it's Roin Artest. Of course the Pacers had to stand by him, if they didn't stand by him then they wouldn't have been able to stand by Stephen Jackson and alot of there other players. There roster would have been destroyed. Who would have wanted Artest straight after tha brawl? No one. Desperate times call for desperate measures and the Kings gambled. It payed off. Ron has done nothing even remotely in the wrong while with the Kings. The bashing should stop. I'm not saying that he's an angel, but until there is a reason to bash, leave him alone.

I apologise. I get heated up when I ramble on making long posts! Sorry. Dont take it personally, I was just trying to make a point. You have to agree with me, some people made some very irritating and childish remarks.

He said that and that he wants to be traded to another team...same thing as demanding.

Peja and Artest are two different people. Artest should be happy he is still in the league because of the way he has acted. He should not even complain when it comes to contract, minutes , trading or anything like that. It isn't right for anyone to demand a trade...but Artest is close to a complete idiot because he only cares about himself. Don't get me wrong...he is a great player....and that's about it.
Once again...he is lucky to be in the league..and that the Pacers gave him chances. Instead of screwing them over...he should of just kept playing and kept his mouth shut.

Not really the same as demanding. If Artest should be happy he is still in the league because of the way he has acted, then so should Stephen Jackson. Don't go saying SJ isn't as guilty as Artest. He threw more punches and he didn't have to go into the stands. Now you're going to say it was Artest that started it all so he deserved it. What about Ben Wallace? Everybody still loves him. He was the one that way over-reacted about a foul that wasn't even hard. Artest went to lie down because he didn't want to get involved.
Can you explain how Artest only cares about himself? You just said it and didn't give a reason. On the court Artest is a team player and a great one at that. If he only cared about himslef, then how did he turn the Kings organisation around? He made us a playoff team. I'm not sure how many players we could have traded for would have had the same effect. He deserves to be left alone. If he does make another big mistake, chances are he'll be out of the L. But he hasn't so far. And he's proved all the haters wrong, but they're still running there mouths as if they're untouchable. Give the guy a break, everybody makes mistakes.
