Click Here For The Story I thought this would be a good read for all you Carmelo fans who hate on LeBron. And dont try to say that im hating on Carmelo because I have been a fan of his longer than anyone on this site.
I was gonna post that in here and the cavs forum, but decided not to for some reason... Good article though, I know a lot of people don't like Marc Stein but I enjoy reading his articles a lot. EDIT: BTW I got a question for you CANT STOP ME, how've you been a LeBron for 4 years already? He was in his sophmore year back then and he didn't have any games televised, and he really wasn't talked about that much until his junior season.. Just curious
even though i live in northern va i have always been a big high school basketball fan since about 6th grade that was 5 years ago i heard about lebron when he was entering his freshman year of high school because i read about him in a basketball recruiting magazine. I heard about carmelo when he was in baltimore i cant remember what high school he was at because he went to 5 in 4 years. once he went to oak hill i had heard of him for a long time.
Good article <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Besides, I wouldn't be surprised if LeBron says something at his press conference about how he'd gladly hand the trophy over to Anthony if it meant the Cavs could be playing a playoff game Tuesday night. It's also time to stress that both of these 19-year-olds should be considered for a spot on the Olympic squad if roster slots keep opening up as expected. No, they're not veterans yet, so neither one has a seniority in. Yet both deserve immense credit for what they've added to the league.</div> All I wonder is seriously, tell me who wouldn't say that? No single player would say I'd rather have a ROY trophy than be in the playoffs.

Yea that's what I was saying in the other thread, it seemed like anyone who thought Carmelo did just as well or had a better season was being shifted to a section of being a hater. If people were calling everyone that thought Lebron did better a Melo hater it'd be absurd.
I am not debating rookie of the year anymore Lebron won it, congrats to him. I just want to ask 1 question that has nothing to do with who should or shouldnt be rookie of the year. My question is: Why are jbb members so in love with posting article of ESPN praising Lebron? They are not credible. They have a motive behind them. Espn has came up with any & everything to promote Lebron James. And make people like him him. This is nothing against Lebron. But Espn is really trying to insult the intelligence of the basketball viewer by some of the stunts they are pulling. Now if you like Carmelo for rookie of the year, your a Lebron hater? Please. When it comes to basketball coverage like this I have come to expect nothing more than cheap promotion by Espn & their so-called basketball experts. If I was a Lebron fan. And I wanted to post credible articles giving Lebron respect. I would go to SI.com or CBS sportsline. I know my self for one would respect a Lebron article if it came from a better source. Its just imo, you dont have to agree.
I agree Henacy, I've also very disappointed in the ESPN articles about the rookie topic this year. It seems they've been in love with him from day 1 and really haven't given the other rookies enough respect. LeBron has had a great season and I can see why he won ROY, but ESPN has been one sided all year about this topic.

And your qustion about espn, frankly i dont care.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting CANT STOP ME:</div><div class="quote_post">im saying that there are alot of lebron haters.</div> How are there a lot of LeBron haters? I've seen many people disagree with who won this award, but still haven't seen anyone who hated him. I too disagree with who won it, but I'm not complaining because I think both of them deserved it. So like I said I don't agree with it, but that has nothing to do with being a "LeBron hater."
Phreeze, go to any message board other than justbball.com, and you will find LeBron haters. Haters don't exist here because this is the most moderated board on the planet. Anyway, I'm from Cleveland and I've argued with many people who disrespect LeBron. I've heard it all... NBA and ESPN conspiracies, Queen James, wishing injuries on LeBron, you name it. People enjoy watching other people fail I guess, and when they don't, they think it's a conspiracy.
Well we are at JBB so the hating doesn't happen, we are just looking from both angles, its better when you're not a fan of either, like me neither Melo or Lebron are one of my favourite players. I like them but not favourite. Their not even my favourite rookies. I like the Cavs and the Nuggets though, and I also like Andre Miller, Nene, Dajuan Wagner and Boozer, so I look at it both ways and I really didn't see either one doing anything more than the other.
Facts dont matter with ESPN or Marc Stein. Melo could have averaged 30 pts & gotten 50 wins yet Stein would go with that flimsy paper thin argument that Lebron "faced more pressure than Carmelo." Thats possibly the most pathetic argument for someone to win an award I've ever seen. Even a $5 and hour lawyer wouldnt defend his client with an argument that bad. Melo averaged 25 ppg after the allstar break compared to Bron's 22 pts. Also Melo had 10 more wins in the West & made it to the playoffs in the toughest division in the league. They were even on top of their division for a while. ESPN is the most biased organization I've ever seen. You just need to look at how many games they broadcast of Lebron vs. Melo: 8 Lebron games vs. 1 Melo game ( which was the Nuggets at Cavs)
