The sale of the Houston Astros to a group headed by Houston businessman Jim Crane could be agreed to by next week, multiple media outlets reported Tuesday. Astros owner Drayton McLane put the club up for sale in January. Earlier Tuesday, McLane acknowledged he was in talks with Crane's group but denied any sale agreement was imminent. "There will be nothing happening this week," McLane told the Houston Chronicle from New York where MLB owners are meeting beginning Wednesday.
